Elli Walsh is a Sydney-based freelance arts writer and editor. She graduated from the University of New South Wales with First Class Honours in Art History & Theory, supported by the Honours Year Scholarship, before working as Assistant Editor at Art + Australia and as an in-house writer for galleries including Sullivan+Strumpf and Arthouse Gallery. From 2018 to 2021, she served as Deputy Editor at Artist Profile, where she is now Principal Writer.
Walsh has contributed to numerous books and publications, including the Khaled Sabsabi monograph (2023), ACU Art Collection: A New Perspective, Del Kathryn Barton: The Nightingale and the Rose, An Li: A Chinese Ghost Tale, and Artist's Choice: Five Decades of Artists' Writing.
I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which I live and work, the Cannalgal and Kayimai people, and pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
